Pets

I had to write this. I'm sure I'm the only who thought it was funny.

I'm sitting here with my niece and nephew.
Brad: You know what sucks?
Me: What?
Brad: We can't have any pets. Mom is allergic to cats and dogs, papa won't let us have rodents, Mom says reptiles carry salmonella, and all of my fish committed suicide.
Me: Suicide?
Lyndsay: Yeah, they all jumped out of the tank.
Me: At the same time?
Lyndsay: Pretty much. Monkey see, Monkey do.
Brad: Yeah, and even my favorite one jumped.
Me: What made him so special?
Brad: I don't know. He was just my favorite.
