DSmit (Krissie's brother): G-d Damn It! The bed frame doesn't fit through the door.
Papa Smith (Krissie's dad; atheist): I have told you time and time again, don't swear.
Me: Wow...so...saying GD offends you? Even though you don't believe in Him?
Papa Smith: That's kind of weird isn't it...but swearing is swearing and only ignorant people swear because they can't think of a better word to use.
Me: Oh...now it makes so much sense.
(23 minutes later....)
Papa Smith: G-d Damn It!
Me: (Gasp) What did you just say???
Papa Smith (smiling): Nothing dear. Just dropped something on my toe is all.
Me: Is it broken?
Papa Smith: Don't think so.
Me: Thank GOD!
Papa Smith laughs.
